Amsterdam, 9 September 2026 – Further to recent press rumors concerning alleged developments in the competitive process launched by Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional S.A. for the potential sale of CSN Cimentos S.A., Cementir Holding N.V. hereby clarifies as follows.
Aalborg Portland Holding A/S, a company incorporated under Danish law and affiliated with Cementir Holding N.V., did in fact submit, jointly with the Brazilian company Votorantim Cimentos S.A., a binding offer in the context of the above-mentioned competitive process.
Such offer, however, expired without having been accepted by the seller.
As of today, therefore, there are no binding agreements, nor commitments of any kind, in relation to the potential acquisition of CSN Cimentos S.A. by Aalborg Portland Holding A/S, Cementir Holding N.V. or any other companies of the Cementir Group.
Cementir Holding N.V. confirms its intention to actively evaluate any further opportunities in the South American continent.
