Cementir Holding N.V. has been recognized among the winners of the Osservatorio ESG di Plus24–Il Sole 24 Ore, the initiative which rewards listed companies on the Italian Stock Exchange that stand out for the adoption of most advanced sustainability practices. 

This achievement confirms Cementir’s positioning as one of the sector leaders in managing ESG risks and opportunities, as well as in driving the Group’s decarbonisation pathway over recent years.
The ESG Observatory is carried out by Plus24–Il Sole 24 Ore in cooperation with the University of Milano Bicocca and is based on three indicators devised by the university: the ESG Awareness Index, the Sustainability Monitoring Index and the Sustainability Governance Index. The ESG Awareness Index measures the level of ESG awareness embedded in corporate policies and formal commitments; the Sustainability Monitoring Index assesses the company’s ability to track declared objectives over time through indicators, control tools and defined timelines; the Sustainability Governance Index evaluates the robustness of the organisational set up for sustainability, taking into account roles and responsibilities. 

The recognition by the ESG Observatory adds to the positive results already achieved by the Group in major international sustainability ratings and indices, further strengthening its commitment to integrating environmental, social and governance criteria into its business model and to creating long term value for all stakeholders.
