Cementir Holding recognized as a “Supplier Engagement Leader” by CDP
Cementir has been recognized for the second time as a “Supplier Engagement Leader” by CDP, achieving the highest rating in the organization’s annual Supplier Engagement Rating.
This prestigious recognition underscores Cementir’s strong commitment to engaging its supply chain on climate-related issues and driving decarbonization across the value chain.
The Supplier Engagement Rating evaluates how effectively companies engage their suppliers in addressing climate change, focusing on five key areas: Governance, Risk Management, Targets, Supply Chain Emissions (Scope 3), and Value Chain Engagement.
Cementir was acknowledged for its proactive collaboration with key suppliers to lower their carbon footprint, and its transparent measurement and disclosure of Scope 3 emissions.
By 2030, Cementir is committed to reduce gross Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services – which represent 48% of total Scope 3 emissions - by 23.00% per ton of purchased clinker and cement from a 2021 base year.
In 2024, the Group achieved a 4.3% reduction in total scope 3 emissions compared to 2023, and a 30.5% reduction compared to 2022.
This achievement follows Cementir’s inclusion in CDP’s Climate Change A List for 2024, marking another important milestone in the Group’s sustainability journey. In 2025, Cementir has also been named an “ESG Industry Top-Rated” company by Sustainalytics, included in the “World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2025” list by TIME, featured in the “Climate Leaders 2025” list by the Financial Times and Statista, and awarded an A- in Water security by CDP.
