University of Malaya visit Aalborg Portland Malaysia
A delegation of students toured Ipoh plant
Twenty-two students from Civil and Environmental Engineering Club under the Engineering Faculty of the University of Malaya toured Aalborg Portland Malaysia’s Ipoh plant recently. University of Malaya is a public research university located in Kuala Lumpur and is the oldest and most prestigious university in Malaysia. Students were having the opportunity to see first-hand the operations of a white cement plant. The plant visit commenced with a presentation of the company’s profile, white cement manufacturing process and plant safety.
Students were then taken on a tour of the plant and were guided by APM Plant Director, Mr. Aldo Bottari and his team through each of the major white cement process, starting at the raw materials processing till the final product packaging. Students described that it was fascinating to see the first time ever of a white cement processing plant and its operation.
The visit concluded with white cement application presentation which exemplifies various range of aesthetic finishing products made from Aalborg White® cement.
