On May 11, 2025, Cementir took part for the first time in the “Race for the Cure”, the largest event in Italy and worldwide dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, organized by Komen Italia. It is an event that combines sport, health, and solidarity, held each year under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic in Rome at Circo Massimo, and in four other Italian cities: Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Matera and Naples.

The true protagonists of the Race for the Cure are the “pink women” – women who are facing or have faced breast cancer. Wearing their distinctive pink T-shirts, they raise public awareness about the importance of prevention and send a powerful message of hope and encouragement to the 56,000 women in Italy who are diagnosed with the disease each year.

An enthusiastic group of Cementir colleagues took part in the Rome event, combining meaningful support for an important cause with a unique opportunity for connection and team spirit among our Rome-based employees.
The Race for the Cure is much more than a sports event: it is a moment of awareness and prevention, where even a simple walk becomes a symbol of strength and solidarity.

Cementir’s presence at the event sent a strong message of solidarity and commitment, while also offering a valuable occasion to strengthen bonds among colleagues outside the workplace – sharing energy, smiles, and a strong team spirit.
Taking part in the Race meant underlining the importance of healthy lifestyles and physical activity as powerful tools for prevention, fully aligned with our broader commitment to the health and wellbeing of our people – both inside and outside the company.
